The breakthrough of the network technology has brought new opportunities to thedevelopment of democratic politics, internet users express their views and suggestionson the internet to form a new force, the public opinion on internet. At present, China’spublic opinion on internet has gained a rapid development, and has become animportant part of our democratic politics. Government attaches great importance to thegrowing public opinion on internet, and this can be witnessed through the releasedorders and some concrete measures. Leaders and government officials are alsopositively understand the public opinions, answer the public opinions and solve thesocial problems which embody the government’s emphasis and affirmation on thepublic opinion on internet. However, only the public opinion on internet and thegovernment response cooperate with each other, can public opinion on internet fullyplay its positive role. There is no denying that our country’s government has made someachievements in the long-term practice, but on the whole, due to the backward of thetechnology, the particularity of the public opinion on internet and the government’s ownexistence problems and many other reasons, the response of our country’s governmentis still lag behind the rapid development of public opinion on internet, there is still exista huge improvement space. Based on this background, this paper analyzes the situationof the government response to the public opinion on internet and the facedplight, combined with the process of the government response to the public opinion oninternet, establish a set of perfect, scientific and reasonable government response systemtowards public opinion on internet, hoping to provide some reference to thegovernment.
