Due to the longer duration of work, the children’s caregivers of the welfare institutes become difficult to relieve their pressure, which leads to lower sense of their personal fulfillment and working enthusiasm, and affect the quality of the work. In which way, their working conditions directly affect the physical and mental health, and social adaptability of the children with disability in the welfare institutes. This study is to survey the job burnout of the children’s caregivers in the social welfare institutes in China, and discuss the influencing factors of their job burnout. The research took105children’s caregivers of three social welfare institutes of two medium level cities in China as simples; Used Maslach’s burnout scale(MBI), the working pressure measuring scale, self-evaluation measuring scale, the pressure response measuring scale, support sources measuring scale, and life-satisfaction measuring scale as tools, tried to measure the caregiver’s job burnout, self-evaluation, working pressure and the responses, social support, and their life satisfaction condition. And also, the researcher did some care studied by interviewing some of the caregivers.The main research results are as follows:(1) The current burnout level of the children’s caregivers in welfare institutes is moderate in China.(2) The effects on the job burnout of children’s caregivers in the social welfare institutes were:Caregivers’ self evaluation, working stress and the responses, life satisfaction, working time and the health status. These factors on the influence of job burnout are relatively complex. Some of the factors that led directly to the caregivers job burnout, some others can interactively effect on their living quality, with lead to the happened of the burnout.(3) This research also give some suggestions to improve the job burnout situation of caregivers of the children with disabilities in the social welfare institutes. The results of the study show that, the occurrence and level of job burnout of caregivers of disabled children in the social welfare institutes is related with working pressure, self evaluation level, life satisfaction, working time and their personal health. Reduce the working pressure appropriately, improve the level of the caregivers’ self-evaluation and their life satisfaction, provide positive methods of pressure coping should help to improve the job burnout level of caregivers of children with disabilities.
