The self-concept is the important part of the self-awareness, which is the individualsmake the cognition and subjective evaluation about their physical characteristics, abilityperformance, values and so on. The phase of junior middle school is a critical peirod for theself-concept. With the development of our society, the family environment and schoolatmosphere in junior student’s life are changing. The attachment with parents and friendsplays an important role in the establishment of self-concept. And what’ more, it affects thesocial adaptation of junior students. They have low scores and different mental state duringthe interaction with parents and firends. There is no corresponding study about the correlationamong self-concept, attachment and social adaptation, which is the realistic for the learningdisordered students, family school.The study has used the cluster sampling method to explore the characteirstics of theself-concept, attachment and social adaptation about the Learning disordered students, andthe relationship among the self-concept, attachment and social adaptation. The participantsare from the three junior high schools in Hebei Province. The study has mainly discussed therelations of j’unior students self-concept, attachment and social adaptation. SDQ II, IPPA andSocial Adaptation Scale were selected in this study.Results are as follows:(1)It was significant different in self-concept, attachment and social adaptation ofjunior students with gender be or not be single child, grade;(2)Theyhad significant correlation with attachment, self-concept and socialadaptation.;(3)Self-conceptcould predict the social adaptation directly, and the attachment alsocould predict the social adaptation.;(4)BesidesSelf-concept could predict the social adaptation, it could affect socialadaptation by the attachment. Therefore, the self-concept was the mediator betweenattachment and social adaptation.
