Family is the first environment for human growth and development,which has a lot of effects on individuals.But the individual after puberty,the rapid increase in awareness of their physical and mental activities,have a further understanding of the physiological conditions changed.These perceptions and evaluations of oneself will affect one's attitude towards parents and intimacy with one another.Individuals will reduce their dependence on their parents and pursue more independent growth and free life.In the school environment,attachment to others will be more transferred to frequent contacts with peers.Parent attachment gradually turns to peer attachment.With the rapid development of economy,the enrollment scale of Vocational Education in China has gradually expanded,accounting for nearly half of the high school and higher education.Compared with general education and adult education,vocational education focuses on practical skills and practical working ability.In order to meet the employment needs of individuals,but also to provide new blood for the needs of the job.In vocational education,the time of intensive learning guided by practical teaching is relatively short,and the urgency of time will bring more pressure to students,especially those in secondary vocational schools.Some students in secondary vocational school may have inferiority and self-denial because they did not enter ordinary high school.They may also think that their professional knowledge is inferior to that of Higher Vocational students,and they are confused and depressed about job hunting.In basic education,they are vulnerable groups that are not easily noticed.Some of them find it difficult to adapt to the school environment or adapt slowly,and are confused about their career choices and employment directions after graduation.Compared with college students and primary and secondary school students,the mental health education of secondary vocational school students is in a relatively neglected embarrassing situation.This study explores the relationship between peer attachment,self-esteem and social adaptation of secondary vocational school students,so as to show more profoundly the predictive effect of peer attachment on the social adaptation of secondary vocational school students,and to some extent,to provide the basis for expanding the suggestions to improve social adaptation which are influenced by peer attachment and self-esteem.In this study,400 students from grade one to grade three in a secondary vocational school in Nanjing were selected as subjects.The relationship among peer attachment,self-esteem and social adaptation was investigated by using peer attachment scale,self-esteem scale and social adaptation scale.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)Generally speaking,the situation of peer attachment of secondary vocational school students is positive and healthy,and their self-esteem is at a general level,but a few of them are seriously polarized.(2)There is no significant difference in peer attachment between secondary vocational school students in gender and whether they are only children.There are significant differences in peer attachment and alienation dimensions in grade.(3)Secondary vocational school students' self-esteem has no significant difference in gender,only child or not and grade.(4)There is no significant difference in the social adaptability of secondary vocational school students in terms of gender and only child,but there is significant difference in the dimensions of social adaptability,psychological elasticity and interpersonal adaptability in terms of grade.(5)The relationship between peer attachment and self-esteem of secondary vocational school students is significant,and the relationship between self-esteem and social adaptability of secondary vocational school students is significant.Among them,self-esteem plays a partial mediating role between peer attachment and social adaptability of secondary vocational school students.This study is of great significance to the psychological health consultation of secondary vocational school students and the partial analysis of their social adaptation,the education management of secondary vocational school and the developmental counseling of students.
