Being an important part of our country’s higher education, privateuniversities, in the same position with ordinary colleges and universities,also shoulder the important responsibility of educating qualified socialismsuccessors. In recent years, because of the rapid development of privateuniversities, not only has their numbers reached an unprecedented level,but also their education quality is greatly imporved; and private universitiesplay a very vital role in promoting the development of higher education inChina. But it is undeniable that there still exists a number of problems inaspects such as educational philosophy, educational mode and so on, whichstill require China’s private universities to make improvements. In order totruly realize the leap from quantitative change to qualitative change, privateuniversities need to integrate the more scientific and more rationaleducational management philosophy. The “moral goes first” concept inflexible management is a kind of advanced educational concept, whichhelps to achieve the leap from quantitative to qualitative development.Therefore, the study on how to apply the “moral goes first” concept to the flexible management in private universities is not only of theoreticalsignificance, but also of important practical significance.The application of the “moral goes first” concept to privateuniversities’ flexible management is studied in this thesis.Starting from theintepretation of relevant concepts and basic theories, the author firstlyexpounds what are private universities, flexible management, and theconnotation, characteristics, significance of the “moral goes first” concept,with an emphasis on the relationship between the “moral goes first”concept in flexible management and the moral education in colleges anduniversities. Then, the development processs and the current situation ofprivate universities in China are studied, so as to discover the problems thatexist in the flexible management in China’s flexible management. Deepthoughts are made on these problems and their causes are also summarized,which show that implementing “moral goes first” concept in universities’flexible management can well solve these problems. Based on the study onpeople’s minds and behaviors, the “moral goes first” concept in flexiblemanagement introduces the traditional Chinese Confucian morality and culture into modern management, and treats moral education as the focusof flexibel management. Finally, the ways and methods to implementingthe “moral goes first” concept in private universities’ flexible managementare expounded in this thesis, which provide fresh ideas and insights forprivate universities’ moral education study. To improve the effectiveness ofmoral education, private universities must set up the “moral goes first”concept in flexible management, emphasize practical evaluation of moraleducation, improve the methods and mode of moral education and integratethe scientific outlook on life, values, ethics and moral norms into privateuniveisites’ moral education, so as to achieve the better and fasterdevelopment of private universities.
