As a new teaching mode,guided learning is designed to change the role of teachers and students in the teaching process,and to encourage teachers to speak less and not even speak.Meanwhile,it can guide students to study independently and cultivate students through self-study and cooperative learning.This study aims to understand the application effect of guided learning plan in the author's school.The focus is on whether it can help promote our school's English teaching goals both in language knowledge and the skill of using English and whether it can promote students' developmental goals(such as a good learning attitude,positive emotion and correct values),whether the guided learning the design plan can help the transition from teachers "teaching" to students "learning",the research also helps to find the existing problems and provides some useful reference for the school English curriculum reform.In this paper,the author chose two classes,a total of 123 students,as the subjects.Through one year of applying the guided learning plan,a questionnaire for students,aiming at understanding the application effect,that includes(1)whether it can stimulate and cultivate the students' interest in learning English;(2)whether they have a good habit of learning English;(3)whether it can guide the student to have a critical thinking and reflective thinking;(4)whether it can help students form positive emotional attitude and value judgment.In addition to thequestionnaire on the students and the teachers,to better understand the usage of the guided learning plan,the interview method has been used,ten students and five teachers were invited to do that.The author also used observation method,and this paper selected a reading case,a vocabulary case and a grammar case.By means of classroom observation,in-depth analysis of the effect of guided learning plan is presented.The research findings are that:(1)the guided learning plan does arouse most students' interest in learning English,(2)the guided learning plan does instruct most students' methods to learn English and ensure students to have the ability to internalize these learning methods into their own learning strategies,(3)according to the choice of teaching materials,some of the text can cultivate students' critical thinking,(4)the guided learning plan can advocate students' positive view.Facing the difficult setback,students can be brave and insist on what they are doing.But because the design time is limited,and the teachers have not been trained systematically,some of the guided learning plans do not meet the teaching and learning requirements.Based on the results of the study,the author puts forward some insights:(1)in the future use of guided learning plan,the teacher should urge each student to finish the tasks on time;(2)in the future revision of the guided learning plan,teachers should take the learning needs of students at different levels into consideration;(3)in the current guided learning plan,the emphasis is still on the language knowledge itself,so the cultivation of students' emotional attitudes is not enough,and the next step is to increase the cultivation of this aspect.(4)for the selection of the current exercises in the guided learning plan,some are too simple,while some are too complicated.That's what the teachers should reconsider.
