This study investigated the correlation between problem behavior and ego-identity. Atotal of247first grade students of a high school were investigated with Youth’s Self-Report(YSR).carrying on descriptive statistics, factor analysis, correlation and regression analysis.Research result:1、In the distributions of self-identity status of senior high school students,theproportion of A-F Status and D-M Status is the highest. And the proportion of A Status and MStatus is following. the proportion of F Status and D Status is the lowest.2、There issignificant correlation among three dimensions of self-identity and adolescent problembehavior.“The self-investment now” has negative significant correlation with all thedimensions of problem behavior except aggressive behavior.“The cricis of past” has positivesignificant correlation with all the dimensions of problem behavior except social problemsand attention problems.“The aspirations of future self-input” has negative significantcorrelate on with all the dimensions of problem behavior except thinking problems.3、Thethree dimension of ego-identity,“the self-investment now”、“the cricis of past” and “Theaspirations of future self-input” have positive predication to adolescent problem behaviortogether.
