Since September2005,the new textbooks of second round curriculumreform have been put into use all over the city of Shanghai."Asking forefficiency from the classroom"becomes the essential requirement of educationon carrying out ’student development oriented’,persisting integrateddevelopment of all students,and concerning healthy and sustainabledevelopment of student.Although this viewpoint has been accepted bteachers,but the teachers don’t have the thorough understanding of how torealize ’asking efficiency from the classroom’.The author suggests that amongVarious factors that influence classroom efficiency,teacher’s classroommanagement skill is one of many factors and has more obvious influence onEnglish classroom efficiency of senior middle school.However,a lot ofteachers have vague theoretical understanding of classroom managementskill,and still manage the classroom relying on personal experience.In thisthesis,the author tries to combine advanced theories of domestic andinternational classroom management with personal teaching practice,andanalyses the influence of teacher’s classroom management skill on the Englishclassroom efficiency of senior school.The thesis is totally divided into four parts:In the first part,the author starts with the definition of teacher’s classroommanagement skill in theory, then divides the teacher’s classroom managementskill into3types according to different classification method:the preventionskill and interference skill,encourage skill and punishment skill,language skill and non-language skill,comning theory with practice and discusses thefollowing three principles should be embodied in the using of classroommanagement skill:human oriented,efficiency priority and innovationencouraged.In the second part,the author gives the definitions the content ofclassroom efficiency and discusses the significance of improving classroomefficiency in senior school from both sides of human oriented thoughtconcerning student oriented and society development requirement,finallydescribes the characteristics of high-efficiency classroom in threeaspects:design of teaching target,attentions on teaching objects and classroomatmosphere construction.In the third part,the author goes on her exposition in practice,introducesthe present situation of English teaching and classroom efficiency of seniorschool,emphasizing in the analyst on the reason causing low classroomteaching efficiency of senior school from three aspects:teacher,student andtextbook.Briefly analyzes the reason of teacher’s lacking classroommanagement skill.In the fourth part,basing on the analyst on the relationship betweenteacher’s classroom management skill and the factors influencing classroomefficiency of senior school,the author emphasizes on the direct and indirecteffect of teacher’s classroom management skill on English classroomefficiency of senior school.And make strategy thinking of improving teacher’sclassroom management skill.In the thesis,the author tries to define of teacher’s classroom managementskill in theory,integrating with the main classroom management skill evolvedfrom senior school Chinese teaching,puts forward strategy for theimprovement of teacher’s classroom management skill,makes more teachers realize the effect of teacher’s classroom management skill on Englishclassroom efficiency and change the way making use of classroommanagement skill from spontaneity to consciousness.
