Novels in Chinese textbooks for junior middle school students in a largeproportion, therefore, the novel teaching in junior middle school Chineseteaching should play the role of play a decisive role, new course standardsof middle school Chinese special attention to in the teaching of Chinese inmiddle schools cultivate and improve the students’ ability to appreciate thenovel. But the novel teaching situation is not optimistic. This research notonly can let us understand the current junior high school fiction teachingpresent situation, but also can lead us to find some solutions to realisticproblems.This paper is divided into five parts: the first part, the junior middle schoollanguage reading teaching objectives and characteristics, significance andvalue. Give first novel status determination, the novel and the importance ofit in the junior middle school language teaching plays an irreplaceable role.The second part, the novel in the junior Chinese textbook (person teachesprinting plate) distribution. Analysis of the novel in the junior middleschool Chinese textbook in the distribution and the novel positioning: thefirst is the teaching material distribution. Secondly, analysis of these novelsin each unit of teaching objectives as what kind of role. Finally, based on thejunior middle school students’ age in positioning, further description of thenovel in each of the age of the students what kind of effect. The third part,the junior middle school reading teaching present situation analysis. Thefourth part, the junior middle school teaching of reading novels explore theway. Through a series of studies, we hope this paper can present on thenovel teaching plays a role.
