The study is aimed at the tendency to the integrated teaching of humanities and social sciences in middle schools and the situation that teachers universities cultivate their graduates according to different courses. After referring to large amounts of materials and having some detailed analyses, the study has a systematic analysis and a creative discussion on the phenomenon that teachers of humanities and social sciences has developed themselves in their majors after paticipating the integrated teaching reseach community by using the community’s basic theory.The study mainly uses questionnaire method. A sampling survey has been carried out among the social and ideological and moral teachers in some junior middle schools Xiao Shan Hang Zhou. It focuses on four aspects: the surveyed teachers’ information, the situation of participating the leaching and reseach communities, the situation of the arrangements and the effects and evaluation of the teaching and research community. Some problems of teachers and the communities arose in the survey’s result, such as the loose management of the communities and single form of the communities" activity, the poor participation, and different majors of different surveyed teachers.The study contains three parts: the integrated teaching and research community’s definition of the liberal arts in junior middle schools and its theories, the survey and the analysis to present situation of the teachers in the field, and the strategies and practices for improving the community. The study first combines the activity that teachers learn the theories of the community and the practice of the liberal arts teaching in junior middle schools,gives the definition of the common community, and constructs an integrated teaching and research common community of the liberal arts in junior middle schools based on three levels by talcing xiaoshan hangzhou for example, especially proving the feasibility and necessity of the community’s construction by quoting a large number of practice cases. It will benefit the education management and teaching and research work of the liberal arts’ teachers in China.
