The elderly in the aging process, muscles, degenerative changes, balance weakened more seriously, static standing and walking, or even fall down when shaking instability. Functional training is the training system, including balance and proprioception training to strengthen human has, but acquired habits and training for the loss of basic functions. In this paper, the characteristics of older persons, design-specific functional training exercise, the balance of the elderly and horizontal comparison with the control group test, and analyze the effect before and after exercise to determine whether the advantages of functional training to improve the balance of the elderly new exercise ideas and training methods for older people exercise. In this study, literature study, questionnaire and interviews to design a functional training methods suitable for the elderly. Experiment21(male N=10; female N=11,mean age=65.5), healthy older adults, functional training, and before the experiment, balance, FMS test. The study reached the following conclusions:1. Functional training methods to help improve and improve elderly balance, balance test indicators in the experimental group before and after the experiment, P<0.05, while the one leg stance and balance the P value (P=0.000<0.01), highly significant differences.2. FMS test indicators before and after the experimental group experiments FMS test indicators In addition to control overlooking the brace did not significantly with the difference (P>0.05), other indicators are has a significant sex difference (P<0.05), description of this study design functional training action on will certainly help to improve body flexibility and stability.3. After10weeks of exercise, the control group test showed no significant difference (P>0.05), balance, respectively, P=0.056,0.054,0.052(P>0.05). This may be the single exercise program, training volume and intensity of the same relevant. Of older persons to participate in the exercise can only play the effect of physical activity, and its strength and balance, no significant role.4. Conducted a questionnaire survey (n=100) found that older people often participate in the sport, including strength training only accounted for0.56%of the project, almost no one knows the functional training, and an easy and simple square dance, walking, running the total exercise program of64.85%.5Conducted a questionnaire return visit found right after the end of the experiment of the experimental group of older, obviously feeling energetic accounted for92.3percent value-added of30%compared to experiment before experiment; obviously feel that the balance accounted for91.3%improvement; test adhere to exercise accounted for by the application of this method97.5%. Show that the feasibility and effectiveness of this practice.
