Swimming in the water unstable state on a non-fixed support sports, mainly relyon athletes coordinated force as well as the ability to control the body balance in thewater swim forward or twist. Swimmer targeted to strengthen the training of balanceand attitude control, correctly grasp the arm leg with the technology to improve theeffect of the water and fetching water, reduce body face resistance plays a vital role. The key to functional training is to strengthen the athlete’s neuromuscular controlsystem function, improve the athlete’s core strength and stability of the core parts, tostrengthen the control of the athletes body balance and posture, and emphasis on theenvironment of the multi-joint, multi-dimensional, multi-movement axis in analogspecial action training, focusing on the conduction of human motion chain, enhancethe body’s ability to integrate power, in order to improve the economy andeffectiveness of the action. This study attempts to apply the concepts and methods offunctional training to swimming, explore the training means and methods to improvethe swimmer body balance and posture control, and strive to establish a plan forimproving the swimmer body balance the functional training methods, to promoteswimmer specific performance enhancement. In this paper, the literature review, expert interviews, experimental method, mathematical statistics, logical analysis and other research methods,20male athletesTianjin swimming team for the study, functional training concepts and methodsapplied to the swimming physical training, the power output of an eight-week trainingand explosive endurance training. The results show that:1,Functional training athletesbefore and after the experiment, five indicators to assess the balance of the body(green target area score, coordination test score, unbalanced distribution scorebalanced distribution) test after the experiment has a very significant growth, themagnitude of a growth percentage:6.32%,15.38%,1.98%,46.46%,5.27%; magnitude2growth percentage:22.20%,27.43%,2.09%,96.06%,7.84%;amplitude3percentagegrowth were:36.96%,42.41%,3.85%,103.31%,14.26%. Description functional training methods to improve the ability of the swimmer body balance, body coordinationability and the nerves that control the muscles ability effect is remarkable.2, Traditional training athletes before and after the experiment on five indicatorsassessment of the balance of the body (green target area score, coordination test score, unbalanced distribution of the score balanced distribution) test, have a very significantdecrease in the experiment, the amplitude1percent decline were:14.67%,1.03%,9.15%,1.84%,1.67%; amplitude decreased percentages were:4.94%,1.44%,1.29%,16.34%,11.55%; amplitude decreased percentage:89.59%,105.72%,30.03%,77.47%,89.98%. Traditional training concepts and methods have been difficult to adapt to theneeds of high-level balance.
