Questioning of the classroom instruction is one of the common teachingmethods used by the music teachers in the elementary and secondary schools.However, I have found out that there occurred plenty of the common errors inthe instructional questioning in the daily teaching activities by reflecting myown teaching experiences and watching the teaching videos of other peers. Withthe help of case-analysis methodology and literature methodology, I’ll trypointing out in this essay the common errors in the teaching questioning,making a further analysis on its causes and putting forward the instructivesuggestions on how to correct or avoid the errors of teaching questioning.The essay consists of five chapters. The introduction of the first chaptercovers five aspects, including the motivation of the study, the purpose of thestudy, the definition and the range of the study on teaching questioning, researchmethodology and the literature review. The second chapter mainly discusses ‘theconnotations about teaching questioning in the music class of the elementaryand secondary schools’, containing the category of the teaching questioning inthe music class, the function and the significance of the study on the teachingquestioning in the music class, the essentials of the teaching questioning in classand the techniques of teaching questioning in class. The third, the forth and thefifth chapter separately expounds the errors, the causes and the modificationsfrom the aspects of ‘the purpose of teaching questioning’,‘the content of theteaching questioning’,‘ways of teaching questioning’.
