Teachers’ empathy for teaching materials means when perceiving the emotionin the material, a teacher can also experience the corresponding emotions. Itcontains a cognitive and an affective component:(1) the awareness of teachingmaterials’ emotion and (2) the ability or tendency to be vicariously aroused by theemotion. The researcher first develops concept and the structure of teachers’empathy for teaching materials and makes self-developed scale about teachers’empathy for teaching materials. On this basis, the researcher investigates the currentstatus of teachers’ empathy for teaching materials and used the laboratoryexperiment method explored the validity of measurement method in measuring theteachers’ empathy for teaching materials by using Multi-parameter Bio-feedbackMachine. Study result showed as following:1)The scale of teachers’ empathy forteaching materials contains two dimensions, which are the awareness of teachingmaterials’ emotion and the ability or tendency to be vicariously aroused by theemotion. The self-developed scale has high reliability and validity, which can be usedas an effective tool to measure teachers teaching materials empathy.2)The wholeteachers’ empathy for teaching materials is at a medium level. There are significant differences in teachers who have different gender, discipline, phrase of studying,learning emotional teaching training and the use of emotional teaching strategiesseniority dimension. There is no significant difference in the years spending instudy.3)Using Multi-parameter Bio-feedback Machine for teachers empathy materialslaboratory studies, some physiological indicators are significant differences indifferent stages of experimental subjects and material.4)In four experimentalmaterial handling, some physiological indicators are significant differences inteachers who have different work status of teachers, teaching-subjects and the levelof teachers’ empathy for teaching materials. Different genders are not significantdifferences. Part of the survey results and the experimental results are consistent.
