By using a various research method such as questionnaire, interview, and content analysis, this paper discussed the specific dimensions of teachers empathy in students as well as students empathy in teachers among primary schools to high schools, developed Teacher Empathy Questionnaire and Student Empathy Questionnaire Through a large-scale questionnaire survey, analyzed the situation and characteristics of teachers. Between teachers and students through the analysis of paired samples, studied the effects of empathy on teacher-student relationship between teachers and students and its processes.The main conclusions of this paper are the following:1. Dimensions of empathy between teacher and studentThere are three dimensions with regard to teacher empathy in student and student empathy in teacher respectively. They are both built upon the empathy comprehension and empathy expressive, empathy reactivity. The two are developed similarly in terms of dimensions, the actual meaning towards each party is different.2. The development of Teacher Empathy Questionnaire and Student Empathy QuestionnaireExploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis of the results shows that, the paper prepared by Teacher Empathy Questionnaire and Student Empathy Questionnaire have good reliability and validity, as further research tools for teachers. Teacher Empathy Questionnaire consists of16articles, questionnaires of three internal consistency coefficients for0.738~0.786, total consistency of the questionnaire by a factor of0.857, confirmatory factor analysis results showed that the questionnaire’s construct validity is more reasonable.Student Empathy Questionnaire consists of12articles, questionnaires of three internal consistency coefficients for0.636-0.684, total consistency of the questionnaire by a factor of0.783, confirmatory factor analysis showed that the questionnaire has a good construct validity.3. Characteristics and developing trend of empathy between teachers and students The current high degree of empathy for students of primary and secondary school teachers, as taught by grade rose, teachers on students’ empathy declining; high degree of empathy of female teachers male teachers; as he grew older, teachers’ higher degree of empathy. Teachers of primary and middle school students to higher levels of empathy, but with the rise of students ’grades, students’ empathy are on a downward trend.Research on teacher-student matching samples showed that medium degree of empathy between teachers and students, which means that teachers have a certain degree of reciprocity.4. The effects of empathy on teacher-student relationship between teachers and students, research results show that empathy for teachers through teacher-student relationship has an impact on students’ academic achievement, students through teacher-student relationship has an impact on students’academic achievement.
