Research On The Accuracy Of The Ability Parameter Estimate Of Maximum Likelihood Based On Three Parameter Logistic Model:a Bootstrap Approach

In item response theory, we usually assess the accuracy of ability parameter with the inverse of square of the information function,but its limitation is that it is an asymptotic estimation,which is only accurate under the condition of large sample.To solve this question,we propose a Bootstrap approach which use three parameter logistic model.It can give a more effective approach to assess the accuracy of the ability parameter estimate of maximum likelihood.Our simulation study corroborates the above findings. The conclusion is that the long test is more accurate and more stable for parameter estimation method of Bootstrap.
