With the further development of curriculum reform, the new curriculummanagement is carried out based on three levels: the national curriculum, the localcurriculum and the school curriculum. Clear-cut responsibility was defined in thisprimary education reform, in which more freedom is given to schools to developtheir own unique curricula based on the local and school curriculum resources. Thedevelopment and the execution of the school-based courses could make up for thedisadvantages of national curriculum to a great extent, help the school to form itsown characteristics, raise teachers’ awareness of curriculum, meet the demands ofstudents and foster individual talents.The research on school-based curriculum has much theoretical and practicalsignificance. First of all, in reality, all-round education is contradictory toexam-oriented education. The research focus on how to solve the contradiction andhow to combine the curriculum with different subject. Secondly, writing activities ineveryday classes can make up for the disadvantages and problems existing in thewriting class. Therefore, based on the national curriculum and combined with therich resources of campus culture, the author choose the exploration of theschool-based course as her research target. With the guidance of the outline ofprimary education reform, the author adopts document research with the assistanceof teaching research. to go deep into the individual cases in the The Track ofSuccess(the school course of Wuxi Furen High School).The essay is made up of five sections: The first part is the introductory theoryand basis, including the original thoughts and significance of this research, thedefinition of school curriculum and research methods. The second part is the basis ofcurriculum development, which is regulated in the National Curriculum ReformOutline. It is the necessity for both the teachers’ and the students’ development. Inthe third part, the author studies the necessity and feasibility of the school-basedcourse combined with writing. It is based on the The Track of Success which showsthe specialty of Furen High School. How this school-based course is developed and carried out is discussed in the fourth paragraph, which includes the general situationof this course, the edition of the text book(the aim and principle, the process, thecontent, the activities and cases). In the last part, based on the results and analysis ofthe feedback of a questionnaire survey, relevant suggestions and solutions are putforward to better this course.In a word, according to the analysis of the value of campus culture and schoolcurriculum, and combined with the specific plan for school curriculum development,the author advocate a brand-new curriculum and teaching idea, that is, lettingstudents take part in the editing of the text book so as to broaden their horizons,enrich their knowledge, arouse their interest in writing and further push ahead withthe curriculum reform.
