The development of the students’ self-learning ability is becoming an urgent subject under the requirements of the social development and new curriculum ideas at present.This article attempts to start with the design of junior high school chemistry learning plan, based on the "self-learning" theory, to improve the current chemical science plan so that it will really promote students’ self-learning ability.Combining the literature research with practice, through consulting literature materials, this study discusses the learning and researching of the "self-learning" theory both at home and abroad, as well as the research of the "self-learning" plan in China. By way of questionnaires and interviews, we find the clear issues in current "self-learning" plan in school. On this basis, this article discusses the basic function and content of self-learning plan and attempts to design different self-learning plan for different levels, also by the practice of teaching, to demonstrate the effectiveness of self-learning plan for promoting the independent learning ability.
