The implementation of the new physical curriculum puts forward higher requirements to Physics teacher literacy. Due to funding more nervous, relatively backward conditions of school of basic education in secondary schools in rural areas,that whether physical teachers’ quality can meet the requirements of the new curriculum reform needs further investigation and study.According to the interviews and survey of high school physics teachers in basic education in rural areas of Zaoyang city in Hubei Province, I understand the pros and cons of the way the rural elementary schools enhance physics teachers literacy, find the problem that rural middle school physics teachers have lacks of expertise and professionalism, their teaching skills are not high, their comprehensive abilities need to be improved etc. On the basis, The article draws on the United States, Britain, France and other developed countries’effective measures to improve teacher literacy and proposes some specific measures and methods to improve literacy physics teacher.This paper is divided into five chapters, the first chapter introduces the background and significance of the research. The second chapter analyses the survey and interview of physical education teachers in rural Zaoyang city and Summed up the problems and deficiencies of the physical aspects of the teachers’ expertise in literacy, career aspirations and spiritual pursuits, teaching philosophy and teaching skills. The third chapter analyzes effect and shortcomings of the measures taken by the rural basic education school to enhance physics teacher literacy. The fourth chapter describes the specific practices of the United States, Britain, France and other developed countries to enhance common understanding of literacy teachers and improving teachers’ literacy. The fifth chapter is the focus of this paper which focuses on through the establishment of funds and institutional guarantee, to stimulate professional teachers sense of self-improvement, and set up a physics teacher training institutions and strengthen the effects of school-based training, in order to improve the quality of education in rural middle schools.
