With the development of society, our education has made great achievements,compulsory education basically universal and rapid expansion of enrollmentopportunities for high school stage, the steady development of vocational education,higher education, Popularization of stage, the student system is basically formed,more the number of poor students to receive funding to complete their studies. Overall,the effectiveness of Educational Equity is significant. However, with the continuousdevelopment of China’s economy, people’s income levels continue to increase, theeducation in the process of development, there have been some unfair problem,especially in the education gap between urban and rural areas is particularly evident.This is mainly due to the expansion of the income gap between urban and ruralresidents.With the expansion of income gap between urban and rural, which eventually ledto the inequity of educational starting point, the process of education and educationalresult, and then it affected the education equity. It mainly affects the education equityby two ways: Influencing their investment in education by urban and rural residents’disposable income; Affecting educational equity by educational environment.Narrowing the income gap between urban and rural areas is an important meansto achieve education equity, urban-rural income gap is just because rural residentshave the lower income. Therefore, in order to achieve education equity, I think weshould start from the following aspects to narrow the income gap between urban andrural areas: First, we should increase support to rural economic development, promotethe balanced development of urban and rural education. Second, we should improvethe income distribution system, ensuring the realization of educational equity fromsource; Again, we should reform the urban and rural household registration system topromote educational equality to the identity of equality; Finally, we should improvethe social security system in rural areas, enhance the ability of rural household’sinvestment in education. Only strive to education equity,that can achieve to theharmonious development in our society.
