| Nowadays the ageing of population has become a new social phenomenon faced by many countries in the world, and it has aroused widespread attention from all walks of life. According to relevant statistics, aging process of China’s population is speeding up further, with the characteristics of the large aged population base, quick growth, big difference between urban and rural regions, and not rich old first. China’s aging of population brings an urgent problem, how to support the aged people. Now China has several supporting modes for the aged, family supporting, agent supporting, and home care; however, each mode has its own advantages and disadvantages; thus in order to solve this problem, China should combine various supporting modes and operate diversified modes.Social work, as a new subject, has its own theories and operation skills; in addition, social workers’ intervention to supporting of the aged can make the various supporting modes function much better. |
