The traditional festival is the embodiment of the wisdom of our working people,is the "root" of our nation, is an important part of traditional culture, most close to thereal life of the people. In recent years, China’s traditional festival more and moreattention, Tomb Sweeping Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival hasbecome a statutory holiday, Therefore, to improve attention to the sense of anincreasingly important traditional festival in China. Due to the incoming of all kindsof ideas, many students a passion for traditional culture to be cold, many students arein favor of Western festival culture, school education as an important way to cultivatestudents to play an important role in the process of dissemination of traditionalfestivals, language teaching as an important part of the student curriculum affectstudents’ understanding, acceptance traditional festivals of great significance.This paper studies the traditional festival culture in language teaching. Somesuggestions and strategies for the problems found by the students in the survey, thetraditional festival of cultural and language teaching: I believe that the followingaspects should rely on language teaching materials, students learn some traditionalfestivals and cultural knowledge; use summer vacation time, to undertake acomprehensive research study; encourage students to read a book about traditionalfestivals.This article consists of four parts:Chapter I: Introduction. The main content of this study the origin and theoreticalbasis for research.Chapter II: the traditional festivals awareness level of the investigation and thereasons for student groups. By a survey of300high school students to understandtheir level of knowledge of traditional festivals and attitude towards traditionalfestivals and Western festivals, analyzed the reasons for these problems.Chapter III: traditional festival culture is important curriculum resources.Emphasis on traditional festival is an important language curriculum resources,language teachers should actively develop and make use of the sort, and the text of themultiple versions of elementary, middle and high school language teaching materials.Chapter IV: Enhanced Language Teaching Strategy of the traditional festivalsand education efforts. In school education, especially language teaching how tostrengthen the teaching of traditional festivals of the students raised a number ofstrategies.
