Children left behind and their problems have always been the concern of the public, especially in recent years, a large number of rural surplus labors into cities, as the result the number of children left behind is also increasing. The author chose Jiangsu province rural left-behind junior high school students as the object of study, and makes a series of study on their happiness in school life; the focus of the study is within the school. The school life happiness in this paper mainly refers to the life satisfaction and emotional experience of this specific field in the school life. Focus on the subjective feelings of emotional experience from life events, including positive emotions and negative emotions, the source of students’ happiness and the place are in the school life. School life happiness has a significant impact on the personal growth of left-behind junior high school students to a great extent, affect the healthy development of their inner happiness of their school life, this study conducive to fully understand and study schools and families to take effective measures in a timely manner.This paper mainly includes three parts. Firstly, through using qualitative research methods to research a Northern Jiangsu Province left-behind junior student A-Jie, with six dimensions to reflect the happiness of their life in school. Six dimensions:the satisfaction of campus physical environment, teacher-student relations, peer relations, academic satisfaction, freedom of satisfaction, health care and mental health status. Also from the point of view of family life in this part of the author to explore its impact on the well-being of school life, A-Jie significant others to understand A-Jie’s staying in school life. Both show the cases in this part of staying in school life, reflecting the degree of happiness, highlighted a series of problems. Secondly, through collating interview data summarized a number of measures for the current schools and the children left behind families, such as boarding schools, counseling room activities as well as a wealth of community activities, etc.In addition to A-Jie’s school life stories and his spirit world can provide the reader with a reading, comprehension and thinking original text, in the end the author put forward her own thinking and views through the analysis of the interviews. From six dimensions pointed the shortage of the experimental school of N town where A-Jie study in, the construction of the physical environment on campus, processing the relationship between the students left behind and teachers as well as between non left-behind students, tutoring for students left behind, to help the students left behind on the proper use of leisure time, health care measures. This study proposes several measures in order to improve the left-behind students’ school life happiness, and point some localization counter plans for the junior high schools in rural areas of Northern Jiangsu. It has practical significance to improve the quality of the school and left-behind students’school life happiness.
