With the rapid development of modern society, the competition between people has been increasing fiercely. Compounded by the acceleration of the pace of work and life and the influence of other social factors, more and more people have problems in mental health. According to statistical data, the number of various mental patients in China have reached100million, of which, there are over16million with severe mental disorders. The children and adolescents with mental problems such as violent attack, committing suicide and self-mutiation, have reached over30million, of which, the number of schizophrenic has accounted for about a half. In China, more and more attention has been attached to such vulnerable group. The Mental Health Law had been approved by the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress on Oct26,2012, which will be officially implemented on May1,2013.It is generally acknowledged that the lifetime prevalence of schizophrenic is lower than1%. Especially to the first episode schizophrenic, the effect of the first treatment directly influences whether the restoral of social function of such patients. All mental diseases are the reflection to certain social situation by definite personality, and when studying mental diseases, patients must be placed at particular social environment. The social factors and cultural background lead to the occurrence and prognosis of mental disease. Therefore, the rehabilitation efficacy of community based rehabilitation to schizophrenic can not be neglected. With policy support in recent years, the cause of mental health in China has been steadily improved. Under the transition of modern medical mode, the treatment of schizophrenic is transform from the past single drug treatment to modern psychological and social intervention treatment. Meanwhile, medical social work has began to paied attention to this field. However, the intervention research of medical workers in the past was mainly in hospital chronic schizophrenic, while the research material on the rehabilitation of community mental patients was less. Particularly, the intervention research on the rehabilitation of first episode schizophrenic in community was lesser, and there also lacked relevant theoretical and operational norm. The author trys to make further study and discussion on this aspect, and take this opportunity to make an effective attempt on the rehabilitation of more mental patients starting from the rehabilitation research on first episode schizophrenic in community. This study selected60cases of first episode schizophrenic conforming to the standard of diagnosis of CCMD-3. After experiencing systematic hospitalization treatment and discharging with clinical significant effect, the patients were randomly divided into two groups as per1:1mode of distribution, i.e. intervention group and contrast group. The following and follow-up visit for a half year period was carried out. Intervention group was with18male and12female cases, average age (30.3±2.3); the contrast group was with16male and14female cases, average age (31.1±1.5). The difference of two groups in the aspects including sex and age had no statistical meaning, so it had comparability. Conventional therapy and social worker intervention was carried out to intervention group, while conventional therapy was carried out to the contrast group. Of which, conventional intervention therapy was systematic antipsychotics treatment; social worker intervention include:organizing group activities and conducting individual case interview. Moreover, the collection on the relevant data of two groups of patients was carried out in the mode of questionnaires, such as general condition, family environment and current antipsychotics in use. Furthermore, scale rating was carried out before entering the group, and rehabilitation effect assessment was carried out every three months after entering the group, and the assessment contents include:positive and negative syndrome scale (SPNS); positive and negative syndrome scale (SANS); general well-being schedule (GWB); general self-efficacy scale (GSES); and social support revalued scale; personal and social performance scale, so as to confirm treatment effect. The study comes out that the intervention group and contrast group had no significant difference in the results of each scale before treatment (P>0.05), and the results of each scale of intervention group after treatment was superior to that of contrast group. In conclusion compared with single conventional treatment, the intergration of conventional treatment and social worker intervention has positive influence to the rehabilitation of community first-episode schizophrenic. Social worker intervention has made patients with strong social intercourse consciousness. the positivity of rehabilitation treatment has greater improvement, which can more effectively rehabilitate the social function of patients.
