Social workers’job satisfaction refers to social workers’view and overall feel for their work, career, job conditions and the situation. Social workers undertake an important mission of providing professional services to help the poor, to maintain the rights and interests of vulnerable groups and to develop their potential so that they can restore and enhance their social functions and finally promote the level of welfare. The development of social work and social workers’qualified personnel in our country reaches to the tackle tough stage now. Due to some factors like the low level of professionalism,specialization, socialization, wages and social credit, our country’s social work career develops slowly. Enhancing social workers’job satisfaction is the significant measure to improve the social workers’ working enthusiasm, stability, and the development of social career, so social workers’ job satisfaction should be taken seriously. Need hierarchy theory, ERG theory and Two-factor theory are the theoretical basis of the study of social workers’job satisfaction.In this study, the " social workers’job satisfaction questionnaire"which investigated150social workers in social work agencies in Guangzhou from the work environment, job itself, social relations, organizational climate, management systems and the salaries and welfare was designed refer to the Minnesota satisfaction questionnaire;the questionnaire was to study the situation and the effective factors of the social workers’ job satisfaction, and to propose appropriate countermeasures to improve the social workers’ job satisfaction from the personal and environmental factors.After analysis, the conclusion of the study are as follows:First, the female social workers is about twice that of male social workers. Male social workers’ job satisfaction is higher than the female’s.Second, the social workers’ age is generally low and the working time is not long. Those social workers whose working time is in less than one year have the highest job satisfaction. With the increase of working life, job satisfaction takes on the trend that it decreases first and increases later.Third, in the whole social workers, the people who have college degree account for a large proportion. Their job satisfaction are the lowest.Fourth, in the social workers, the people have professional background account for a large proportion, but their job satisfaction are lower than the non-social work professional social workers. Fifth, in the social workers, the people have relevant professional qualifications account for the few majority, and their job satisfaction is slightly lower than those of non-professional qualifications.Sixth, social workers are generally faced with the problem of heavy workload, work pressure.Seventh, social workers have a very low satisfaction for the organizational management systems while with a high degree of satisfaction with the organizational climate.
