| Along with the computer entering into the classroom, means of having class hasobviously changed. The development of information technology and computer network makesthe multimedia play an increasingly important role in teaching. The popularity of personalcomputers leads computer software, multimedia, the Internet and homemade courseware toplay thoroughly significant roles in the developing process of the application of Class Accessto Information Communication Technologies (ICTs). Class Access to ICTs, entering theclassroom with its vivid and lively characteristics, greatly impruving rural teaching mode, arevery popular with the teachers and students.This paper first reviews the development and relevant research of computer assistedlanguage teaching (CALL). Starting from Constructivism, Krashen’s Input Hypothesis andAudio-Visual education theory and based on new curriculum standards and the latest researchresults of Class Access to ICTs, this thesis studies the promotion of Class Access to ICTs onrural junior high school students’ English learning efficiency, using instruments such asquestionnaire and interview. Finally, it points out the limitations of the study and puts forwardthe corresponding solutions.The paper has six chapters. Chapter one introduces the research background, causes andsignificance. Chapter two is the literature review of the Class Access to ICTs and the ClassAccess to ICTs based English as a foreign language learning (EFLL) at home and abroad.Chapter Three is the theoretical framework of the research, which introduces the fundamentalscientific theories of the Class Access to ICTs based EFLL, such as Constructivism, Krashen’s Input Hypothesis and Audio-Visual education theory. Chapter Four is the research design andprocess. Chapter Five is the results and analysis. Chapter Six is the conclusion, in which somereflections and suggestions are also put forward. |
