| NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) college basketball league in America through the nearly hundred years of development, has now become the most mature college basketball tournament, CUBA(Chinese University Basketball Association) university student basketball league in China after more than ten years of development has achieved good effects, but CUBA is still in its early development period, the deficiencies still exist in the current competition system. This article through to the college students’ league contrast between the two countries, drawing on the successful experience from the NCAA college basketball league, provides a reference value for the development of CUBA university student basketball league.This article based on the research methods of literature method, interview method, questionnaire survey method, case analysis, mathematical statistics and comparative analysis, taking the CUBA Chinese university basketball league and the NCAA college basketball league competition system as the research object, separately carries out a comparative analysis on the organization, format, education and competition situation of two countries university student basketball leagues. Summarizing that the CUBA Chinese university basketball league mainly exist the following problems:1. CUBA is combined with society and government management. It is under the ministry of education and the supervision of the general administration of sport of China, and managed by the Chinese university students sports association basketball club league. Its management process will inevitably restricted by ministry of education and state general administration of sports, so the deviation of administrative management means influenced the development of the CUBA basketball league college to a certain degree.2. The CUBA’s grassroots preliminary is too strict with the provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government and special administrative region partitions, teams can only play with region team,so it is not conducive to the communication between the regions. And team less regional colleges games is too less, and only the pilot teams within the division have a home game, other division teams for the type of competition mode, and it is not a fair game exactly. 3. After the preliminary, CUBA is strict in qualifications limit of entering the division series, requires only basic preliminaries champion team to qualify each area, and regional division of area division series has the phenomenon of the strong and weak in the west.4. By the state of sports personnel training mode influence, the way of CUBA’s recruit athletes mainly by dropping points, so the athletes’ cultural accumulation deficiency.5. CUBA has no uniform standard of students professional, without fully considering the interests of students and student employment in the future. CUBA is not complete on the athletes’ assessment of academic credit system, and it is not standardized for athletes training time, and led to the contradictions between athletes study and training, also influenced their academic.6. The professional game only a handful of athletes from CUBA. The NBA has had more than80%of the players from NCAA college basketball league.7. The sources of funds of CUBA are too single, every team’s source of the funds mainly rely on school funding. Improve the organization system of various laws and regulations and the organic combination of administrative means and legal means.2. According to different factors, such as the size of the school, economic strength and social influence etc, the hierarchy of CUBA league can be classified more accordingly,and arouse the enthusiasm of participating colleges and universities.3. To strengthen the promotion of preliminaries at the grass-roots level, add more pilot "division", and to ensure the fair of preliminaries at the grass-roots level.4. Relaxing the qualifications limit of zone competition and dividing the division series area afresh in order to relieve the pattern of "east strong and weak in the west". 5.
