Building Of Private College Counselors In Gansu

Counselor team is an vital part of the contingent of teachers in private colleges of Gansu province, and it plays an important role in Ideological and political education and the students development course, it not only affects the private school’s culture, teaching, and learning, but also influences talent training quality and sustainable development of private colleges directly. Therefore, according to "people-oriented" management philosophy, it is advisable to acknowledge the situation and problems of the reality and the construction of college counselors team from the sustainable development of private universities point of view. It is suitable to recognize the important and the urgency of counselor team building in the new era and to explore new strategies of the construction of private colleges and universities so as to provide a strong guarantee for sustainable development of private colleges and universities of the counselor team.Following the "CPC Central Committee and the State Council issued on Further Strengthening and Improving Ideological and Political Education"([2004]16) file,2005of the People’s Republic of China Ministry of Education issued "On Strengthening and Improving the College Counselor, Teacher Team Construction Opinions" and in2006the Ministry of Education issued twenty-fourth orders "In Colleges and Universities the Construction of College Counselors Team Regulations" requirement, aiming at strengthening and improving the construction of counselor team in private colleges and universities, building private higher education satisfied by the people, this article analyzes the main achievement gained by the private colleges and universities in the past decades, as well as main problems, challenges and opportunities existing at present in Gansu province from the way of reading,, summary and induction, in order to develop theoretical and practical basis for the construction of counselor team, and make a further understand and analysis of the existing problems and causes in the team.In order to get a further acknowledge of the actual situation of Gansu private college counselor team construction, and gain the first hand information. The author uses the sample investigation method to survey some management, student, instructor and counselor in six private universities of Gansu province by conducting a questionnaire survey. Using the SPSS13.0data analysis software to do a detailed analysis of survey data, the writer combined with his self work experience in private colleges, find out the main problems of Gansu Private College Counselors:comprehensive quality of the contingent of counselors needs to improve, the team has some unstable factors, the responsibility heart needs to be strengthened, and scientific research consciousness should be enhanced. On this basis, after further evaluation of the whole team, it is safety to draws the following conclusion:the team structure has been optimized; training mechanism is formed and the basic management system is improved.On the present situation and problems of Gansu private college counselor team construction, it is found that there are many problems in the way of the building of counselor team in private universities in Gansu, such as, policy and school environment factors; school management level; counselor’s qualities. On this basis, focusing on the significance of counselor team construction and the interpretation of "What team should be built and how to build such team?", it is the tendency to research and propose the main strategy of strengthening and improving the construction of instructor team, to increase efforts on the team building supporting, to promote the system construction,to strengthen the construction of work morals, to enhance their sense of occupation happiness and to explore the specialization and proficiency of instructor team.
