Language teaching material is the information of learning Chinese language course content to language learner, it is also one of the foundation elements of Chinese curriculum. In order to test the students’Chinese learning abilities, we need to design practice after class carefully and arrange it reasonably. Exercises after school provide a series of oral, written, or practical exercises, questions and activities scheme to students, it is the important bridge between students and cementing knowledge. Exercises is a basis of preparing a lesson, it is the main line of the classroom teaching activities and it is one way to inspire all kinds of intelligence of the student. It cannot lack the formation of teaching material practice system to develop students’imaging ability, observation and imagination. According to the "full-time compulsory education Chinese curriculum standard". Language textbook exercise system of the elementary school includes literacy and writing, reading, assignments, oral communication and comprehensive study. These practice aim to cultivate the students’language ability, promote the formation and development of students’Chinese quality.In the opening policy of a programme for many clauses and subclauses in our teaching materials. All kinds of Chinese textbooks versions come out after the curriculum reform which begin in2001, there are twelve sets of primary school language teaching material through the review of the national middle and primary school language teaching material review committee and offered public in our country. Each textbook has its own characteristics, and its practice system formation is different. This paper selects the primary school language teaching material system published by People’s Education Press and Jiangsu Education Press as the object. The paper analysis the advantages and disadvantages of the teaching material practice system in two versions to learn from each other and put forward suggestions to elementary school language teaching material practice system of our country.This paper is divided into six chapters, the first chapter is introduction, mainly discussed the research reasons, research object, overseas and domestic research status and methods. The second chapter is the questionnaire survey to service condition of the elementary school language teaching material practice system, including questionnaire design, sample selection, part of results of the survey. The third and fourth Chapters introduce the overall design characteristics of the teaching materials published by People’s Education Press and Jiangsu Education Press respectively, and analysis the presentation and characteristics of different exercise types from different point of view. The fifth chapter is comparison of elementary school language teaching material practice system design to two versions, compared their respective characteristics and the similarities and differences. From the comparison of presentation and characteristics of practice system, we can see the innovation and breakthrough form the design of the system in the two versions of textbooks and their own distinct personality and characteristics on the design at the same time. Some suggestions is proposed for the design of our primary school language teaching material practice in the sixth chapter. These Suggestions is put forward through the comparative study and combined with the opinions of front-line teachers. I hope my research can prompt the researchers thinking deeper to the elementary school language teaching material practice teaching system design.
