Time Management Disposition is an important concept in the field of psychology inrecent years which comes from the individual’s personality trait of allocating and exploitingtime, it is a personality tendency which shows the traits of mental and behavior that theindividual’s style of applying and allocating time. The personality tendency has dynamicproperty and it has different performance level in different person, across-situations andpotential measurability. In our country, with the posing of the conception of TimeManagement Disposition, the research in this field has more and more attention. In this study,secondary vocational school students will serve as subjects. Two parts are included in thestudy: the first study used questionnaire method with ATMD(Adolescence Time ManagementDisposition Scale) and investigated the three grades’ students of a secondary vocationalschool in Shenyang, the number of students is250. The second study let secondary vocationalschool students accept group counseling about time management. The researcher recruit15secondary vocational school students who come from the first study as members of the groupcounseling through the interview method.The study used one group pretest-posttest design.The members will be intervented with the program of group counseling on time managementdisposition and be observed whether their time management disposition performance change.The group counseling hold1time a week, a total of7times and100minutes every time.According to the results, concrete conclusions are as follows:1. The time management disposition of secondary vocational schoolgirls is more strongwith the grade increased in total points, the value sense of time, the sense of control and theefficacy of time; It has no significant difference in total points, the value sense of time and thesense of control of secondary vocational schoolboys, but the efficacy of time is worst in gradethree.2. The time management disposition of secondary vocational school students in gradeone and two has no significant gender difference in total points, the value sense of time, thesense of control and the efficacy of time; but girls is better than boys in all items in gradethree.3. The time management disposition of secondary vocational school students can beimproved through the group counseling intervention. At the same time, the program of thetime management disposition is effective and suitable for secondary vocational schoolstudents.
