Red culture,as an important part of the advanced socialist culture, not only witnesses thehistory of "Without the Communist Party, there would be no new China", but also shows thetrue meaning of "The only socialism can save China", occupies an important position in theideological and political education work. With the emergence and development of therevolutionary history, based on inheriting and carrying forward the finest cultural traditions,the red cultural resources have the unique value of cultural transmission, mental preach, andcontain most important ideological and political education resources and patriotic educationresources. After the17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, theCommunist Party of China proposed to build a harmonious society and a socialist core valuesystem and the great concept of the "China Dream", the red cultural resources play animportant role in the process of practicing these ideas, especially in the ideological andpolitical education and teaching activities, with the connotations of Chinese revolutionaryroad、culture and spirit, a valuable spiritual wealth of the Communist Party of China, the redcultural resources is an effective educational method and curriculum resources in Seniormiddle school’s ideological and political course.With further development of quality education and the new curriculum reform, theimportance of curriculum resources has become increasingly prominent in the senior middleschool’s ideological and political course, and attracted wide attention and research. Redculture, as an important resource for the Senior middle school’s ideological and politicalcourse, it can not only ensure the political direction of the students’ ideological and moraleducation powerfully and effectively, its rich form of resources also provides a rich teachingmaterials、scientific educational methods and effective teaching methods for the seniormiddle school’s ideological and political course, that greatly enhanced the students’ moralemotions. The paper combines with the subject nature and characteristics of the senior middleschool’s ideological and political course, on the basis of defining the related concepts of redcultural resources, elaborates the red cultural resources’ effectiveness、status and role in thesenior middle school’s ideological and political course, analysis the advantages of organiccombination between the red cultural resources and the senior middle school’s ideologicaland political course. Furthermore, after the deep analysis of why the senior middle school’sideological and political course lack the red cultural resources, and ultimately proposes somestrategies in the effective use for the red cultural resources in the senior middle school’sideological and political course, respectively in the respects of establish the red cultural resources teaching norms, fill the red cultural course content and activities, develop redcultural extracurricular education, create red cultural ideological education project, to try todraw the attention to the red cultural resources in strengthening and improving the seniormiddle school’s ideological and political course, so as to make the red cultural resourcesbecome an innovative highlight of the ideological and political education curriculumactivities, seek the breakthrough and development of the red cultural resources teachingmethods.
