For the past few years, higher vocational education in China develops rapidly with increasing input in vocational colleges by education department. With the continuously expanding scale of the vocational colleges, that how to cultivate professional and technical talents with relatively high comprehensive qualities and professional strengths has been an issue focused by educators of the Chinese vocational colleges and the society at large. It has been an urgent subject to be carried out to explore the effectiveness of psychological quality assessment in enrolling students by vocational colleges themselves. Proceeding from the actual situation, conducting ongoing extensive interview research and analyzing the relevant data, this research has reached a conclusion that the psychological quality assessment in enrolling students by vocational colleges themselves in China is necessary and feasible. However, further research shall be carried out to explore more effective psychological quality assessment contents and forms.The1st part of the thesis is Introduction, which has reviewed and summarized the emergence, development background, assessment model, assessment effectiveness, existing problems in assessment and development direction of psychological quality assessment in enrolling students by vocational colleges themselves in China. The realistic value and theoretical significance has also been revealed in this part.The2nd part is Literature Review, which has commented the enrollment model of vocational education in China, origin of psychological quality assessment and relevant literature research of applications of different psychological quality assessment in enrolling new students, offering important theories and references for the following research.The3rd part is Interview Design and Results Analysis. This part describes the interview object, objective, content and concrete proposal, analyzes then summarizes the interview results and analyzes the rationality, contents and forms, etc. of the psychological quality assessment applied in entrance exam by vocational colleges.The4th part is the analysis of effectiveness of the psychological quality assessment applied in enrolling students by the vocational college itself. After test and analysis of the performance differences at school of Grade2010independently enrolled students and regularly enrolled students in this vocational college, the research has reached a conclusion that independently enrolled students perform slightly better than the regularly enrolled students in spite of unapparent diversity. The independently enrolled students enrolled by independent exam face severe source of students’loss problem and the "lost" students always rank in the top of the list of comprehensive quality assessment, which is likely be one of the most important reasons causing unremarkable performance diversity between independently enrolled students and regularly enrolled students.The5th part is the Conclusion of the thesis, which comes up with main conclusion, points out predominant features and deficiencies of the research and makes prospects for the future research direction.
