A Research On The Entrance Setting Of P.E Education Students In Colleges In Jiangxi Province

Physical Education (short for P.E.) Teaching Recruitment Examination is asystem of various rules that are set to constraint students’ and organizations’ behaviorin Physical Education Teaching Entrance Examination and Recruitment. PhysicalEducation Teaching Recruitment Examination of ordinary universities in China hasthe function of talents selection, guidance and incentive for middle schools andpromotion for social justice. The project setting is the core part of the physicaleducation recruitment, and it is the key to achieve the examination function. In theprocess of setting up the project, scientificalness, fairness, and operability should bepaid attention.The project setting of P.E. recruitment examination will directly influence thetraining standards of P.E. major talents in colleges, and the situation of social demandfor professional sports talents determines the training goal of professional talents incolleges.This paper applied questionnaires to investigate the demand for P.E. teachers andthe projects setting of the P.E. recruitment examinations in high schools in JiangxiProvince. The results found that4.8%high schools need extremely outstanding P.E.teachers in professional skills, while56.8%high schools need the talented P.E.teachers with outstanding professional skills and other basic skills. As to society, theunsatisfied situation for existing P.E. professional talents is mainly because of lessprominent professional skills and incompetent ability in other events. The societydemands the P.E. professional talents who are experts in one field and versatile inother events. Training this kind of talents should become a main training object forJiangxi colleges.This paper also used the literature material method and contrastive analysis tocompare the situation and development of projects setting in the P.E. recruitmentexaminations in each province, city and autonomous region. Among the31provinces,cities and autonomous regions, only17provinces and cities set specialized tests in theP.E. major recruitment examination.13provinces and cities didn’t set specialized tests. All experience from lack of specialized tests or canceling the specialized tests showsthat setting up specialized test is better than not setting up specialized examinations.The survey found that60.6%P.E. leaders in middle school and instructorssupported to add specialized tests in the P.E. major recruitment examination. However,the main reason why they opposed this kind of tests was worrying about the unequaland injustice scores.Setting specialized tests is good for selecting outstanding sports talents,promoting social equality and training professional talents in physical education forcolleges. It is also an inevitable tendency for reforming and developing therecruitment examination of P.E. major in Jiangxi Province.
