In this paper, the high school geography textbook of natural is as the research object which published by the People’s Education Press in2003and2008. hope can through comparative analysis of the new and the old teaching materials, to identify changes in the old and the new teaching material and the old teaching material in the curriculum structure, and new materials on the old textbooks in the teaching contents, text representation and image representation, improvement, improvement and the relationship between analysis and improvement of curriculum standard textbook of geography teaching activities, for the implementation of the improvement measures and suggestions, to provide reference for revision of textbooks in high school geography in china. In this paper, using a variety of research methods, mainly has the comparison method, literature method and case analysis method of three kinds of methods, through the comparative study on the old and new textbooks in many aspects, find out the improvement of new materials on the old textbooks, analyzes the improvement after the new teaching material for the old textbooks, lack of existence whether can be solved. Through comparison of the new and the old teaching materials, the discovery of new materials in the text structure, text and image system than the old textbooks more reasonable and perfect, from the content structure, between each part of the contents of the new materials is more reasonable, pay more attention to the inherent logic connection between each content, taking man-land relationship as the main line, the teaching content to be arranged and combined, delete the complex simple, reasonable optimization; from the teaching material of the text content, the new textbook for text representation method is more diversified, pay attention to students in the learning process, improve their abilities in many aspects; up from the image system, image system of the new teaching material more rich and diverse. Through the above research, this paper finally from the teaching material of the text and image systems in two aspects, revision and textbook for teaching and puts forward some suggestions and opinions.
