Due to the rapid development of science and technology, Living standards greatlyimproved, the field of computer applications, human-computer interaction, interaction design,and user experience to focus on the goal of turning children. The rapid development of digitalmedia, a children’s electronic books came into being, it is a new culture and civilizationheritage tools, it is different with the traditional children’s books, high-tech and interactivefeatures, the more successful to attract the attention of the moment children and to meet theneeds of children. Children’s electronic books through the computer and other equipment intothe lives of children, always affect children’s growth, learning, entertainment, children’sextracurricular life leisure and entertainment. So the design of children’s electronic booksseem particularly important.Interaction design is the main basis of the children’s electronic books design theory,design and analysis of electronic books for children, at home and abroad has been the field ofinteraction design rich theoretical system. Research and discourse on children’s electronicbooks is almost empty.Firstly combing summary previous theoretical study and practical research on the basisof brief psychological characteristics of children, compared to the traditional children’s books,discusses the definition of the form of electronic books for children, to come to a clearconclusion that electronic books computer-presentation and non-computer based presentationin two forms. School-age children learn life divided curricular electronic books andextra-curricular electronic books. And, in contrast to the traditional children’s books, relyingon interactive electronic books for children in the digital interactive media, multi-dimensional,such as cycle characteristics. Based on the theory of interaction design, analysisdeconstruction children’s electronic books, draw digital reading content and the presence ofthe interface is the foundation and key electronic books designed for children. Throughquestionnaires and interviews research, combined with the needs of school-age children,found the status and needs of school-age children in extracurricular reading electronic booksusing the design method of interaction design: a user-centric and activity-centric methodsummarized proposed Electronic books interaction design based on the principle. Finally, it issummary and outlook the design of electronic books for children. Try to explore the theoriesand methods suitable for the development of the society to make electronic books forchildren.
