On the basis of personal practices as well as the observation of teaching activities about picture book reading in the kindergarten, I made a research of picture book reading teaching to provide a reference for the development of our preschool picture book reading teaching.First, by the method of literature analysis, I read the literatures on picture book reading teaching and a lot of picture books, exploring the main part of a picture book, for the theory learning on early reading teaching activities. Secondly, the research selected Kindergarten A in Beijing as a case, using observation to obtain first-hand information about picture book reading teaching in the kindergarten and children’s independent reading activities. In order to have a better understanding of the methods and experience of picture book reading teaching, the research also interviewed the teachers in Kindergarten A. I also had the privilege to take part in the picture book reading teaching with the help of the picture book reading theory and the teachers in Kindergarten A. In the process of continuous research and practice, I analyzed and summarized the valuable experience of picture book reading teaching. Finally, with the above information, I analyzed and summarized the theories, methods and experience of preschool children reading teaching based on picture book.The first part:introduction. This part briefly discusses the origin of the research, research status, the train of thought of the research and the definition. It also sorts out the domestic and international theories of picture book reading teaching.The second part:The composition of a picture book. Introduction of six parts of a picture book:cover, jacket, ring lining, title page, text and the back cover.The third part:picture book reading. Detailed description and analysis of picture book reading teaching cases in Kindergarten A. The summary of the various methods used in picture book reading teaching.The forth part:lifelong reading habit. By children’s independent reading activities and adhering to the reading plans, the kindergarten cultivates children’s lifelong reading habits.The fifth part:reading environment. Description of the activity room, reading district in classroom, stairs and library of Kindergarten A to introduce the reading environment.The sixth part:home and kindergarten cooperation. Introduce cooperation between home and kindergarten by the book borrowing list and reading surprise paper from parents.The seventh part:conclusion. A brief summary of reading teaching experience based on picture books.
