New physical education curriculum reform bringt new changes to China’s Physical Education, From the basic curriculum ideas to the specific implementation methods, they are gradually toward the diversification and rationalization direction of development. The development of each course are not their own independent development, which more or less have to learn the contents or methods of other disciplines, physical education curriculum is no exception. Physical education is not only to teach students how to exercise, but also to teach students how to maintain physical and mental health and how to interpersonal relationships, learn cultural knowledge more effectively. Therefore, this paper take "health" that new curriculum proposes as the guiding ideology, starting from the physical and mental development of the primary school students, mainly through the use of different teaching methods for teaching in primary school physical education as teaching practice, analyze their advantages and disadvantages, then put forward relevant countermeasures and suggestions, and strive to promote the better development of elementary school physical education, let primary school students love sports, like exercise, and ultimately promote the development of physical and mental health.The paper selected a primary school of208students for teaching and research object in Nanchang, using four research methods which are literature survey, teaching practice and mathematical statistics, the main research results are as follows:1.Using the games approach can reduce the negative attitudes and behaviors of high-grade students in the elementary school physical education teaching, which is conducive to develop good learning attitude and behavior habits.2.Use of sports games in elementary school physical education class teaching, there are differences in sports participation attitude and performance, exercise capacity, the performance and behavior of cooperation of students.3.The use of sports games teaching in the elementary school physical education class, the body of low-grade students feel more relaxed; the class memory and display of movement difficulties of high-grade students show better than the low-grade students.Through the teaching effectiveness of the use of different teaching methods for elementary school physical education, this paper presents the following recommendations:1.Physical Education in primary schools must change the single teaching methods, and should try to use different teaching methods.2.The use of sports games teaching in primary school physical education must reasonable select and design of the game, clear purpose of teaching, strengthen the safety management.3. Use of games teaching in the primary school physical education, physical education teachers should give full play to the leading role, and strengthen the interaction between teachers and students in the classroom teaching.
