The physical and mental health of the new generation of students is closely related to the future of the motherland.Physical education in primary and secondary schools bears the important mission of strengthening the physical fitness of young people and consolidating the foundation of national health.The new curriculum reform points out that the key point of school physical education reform is to cultivate students' interest in physical education and improve their skills.On the basis of following the principles of education and the laws of physical education,physical education teaching should be guided by students' interest and pay attention to happy physical education and teaching in accordance with their aptitude.At present,the content of physical education curriculum for primary school students is relatively rich,but it is similar to the basic activities such as running,jumping and throwing.Because of the repetition of exercises and the singleness of sports forms,students' interest in learning is not high,which leads to poor development of physical quality.Folk sports games are rich in fitness,education and entertainment after historical evolution.This paper will explore and utilize the resources of folk sports games to explore their influence on pupils' interest in sports learning and physical quality in physical education teaching.The research draws the following conclusions: 1.Through factor analysis,the four major factors affecting the interest of primary school students in sports learning are identified,which are listed in order of importance: interest in sports activities participation,interest in sports courses learning,interest in sports skills learning and interest in independent inquiry learning.2.Fun,novelty,diversity and cultural inheritance of folk sports game teaching are the main characteristics to improve students' interest in sports courses.3.The participation,role and competitiveness of folk sports games can effectively improve students' interest in sports activities.4.The directness and comprehensiveness of the teaching of folk sports games can help students establish the motivation of independent sports learning and stimulate their interest and persistence in learning sports skills.5.Primary school students are more interested in participating in sports activities and learning sports courses than in learning sports skills and independent inquiry;However,with the increase of the teaching content,difficulty and the development of students' independent consciousness,the interest of primary students in learning sports skills and independent inquiry gradually increases.6.Both folk sports game teaching and traditional sports game teaching have obvious promoting effects on the improvement of students' speed quality and endurance quality.7.The changeability and comprehensiveness of the teaching of folk sports games play a significant role in promoting the development of pupils' flexible quality and sensitive quality.However,for the improvement of strength quality,the open game practice method is not as effective as the traditional teaching method of fixed technique and repeated practice.
