The Research On The Relation Of Home Chaos To Preschool Children’s Emotion Regulation Strategy Development

With a large number of surplus rural labors transferring to the city, there are two specialgroups of children with huge numbers in Chinese society: rural left-behind children andmigrant children in city whom the two groups have been focused on by some scholars atpresent, and family environment become an important factor influencing the growth of thisspecial group of children, the study of home chaos is attracting many scholars to exploregradually. But there are fewer researches on the relationship of home chaos and emotion aboutleft-behind young children and flow of young children. Therefore, the questionnaire is usedon research, including these investigation objects:143left-behind young children in ruralareas,152rural non-left-behind young children,161migrant young children in city,145non-migrant young children in city,601in total. The conclusions are as follows:First of all, in terms of the home chaos, the average score home chaos of rural left-behindchildren family is the highest, the second is non-left-behind children family and the third ismigrant children family,and the non-migrant children family is the lowest; Concretely,left-behind children family is significantly higher than the other three types, non-left-behindchildren family is significantly higher than the non-migrant children family, migrant childrenfamily is significantly higher than the non-migrant children family, there are no significantdifferences between migrant children family and non-left-behind children family in the homechaos; One-child family is significantly lower than the non-single-child family. In addition,with age and sex, there are no significant differences in the home chaos.Second, in terms of the emotion regulation strategy, the emotion regulation strategiesdevelopment used by four types young children have significant difference. Specifically, ①left-behind young children are easier to adopt the negative emotion regulation strategiesand less positive emotion regulation strategies than the other three types young children in theface of negative disposition condition;②Emotion regulation strategies used by nonleft-behind young children and migrant young children were significant differences only inproblem solving strategies, had no significant difference on other five methods.③Migrantyoung children are more likely to take a positive emotion regulation strategies thanleft-behind young children, and Emotion regulation strategies used by migrant young childrenand non-migrant young children were significant differences only in Cognitive reconstructionstrategies that is positive regulation methods;④Non-migrant young children use cognitiverestructuring strategy and problem solving strategy significantly more than non left-behindyoung children, but vent strategy is significantly less than the non-left-behind children;⑤Cognitive restructuring strategy, vent strategy and comfort themselves strategies used byOne-child and the non-single-child were significant differences, but the Problem solving andalternative action and Passive dealing methods don’t exist significant differences;⑥Inaddition, gender difference is not significant in emotion regulation strategy;⑦Cognitivereconstruction and Problem solving are positive regulation methods,and their usage increasewith age; Venting are negative regulation methods, and its usage decrease with age.Third, the home chaos and positive emotion regulation strategies have a significantnegative correlation and with negative emotion regulation strategies having significantpositive correlation in correlation analysis. Besides, we have found that cognitiverestructuring strategy exist the interaction of the remarkable differences on whether theone-child with age class、whether only-child and children’s types、age class and children’stypes whether the one-child and age class and children’s types.Finally, researchers discuss and analyze negative effect contained by home chaos and the law and mechanism of emotion regulation development, and put forward the educationand advice about how to reduce home chaos and improve children’s emotion regulationability,through research family environment and emotion regulation strategy of differenttypes children.
