Chaos environment is an important factor affecting children's development. For young children, home and kindergarten are the two most important environments that have an impact on their development. However, there has been no concern about the what influence they have on children's socialization and behavior disorders.A total number of 162 immigrant and local children in Shenzhen was investigated.Home chaos was measured through parent reported CHOAS scale;Kindergarten chaos was assessed through teacher reported questionnaire and observer ratings of the classroom using the Program Structure subscale of the Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale-Revised(ECERS-R);Children's socialization was assessed by “4-7 Years Old Children Socialization Scale” and behavior disorders was by Rutter Child Behavior Questionnaire. For immigrant children, the results showed that there is no significant difference in home chaos among young children of different ages and genders; There is no significant difference in the kindergarten chaos of different sexes, but a significant difference of different age groups; There are significant differences in the total socialization scores of different genders, but no significant difference of different ages. There is a significant difference in the total scores of behavior disorders of different genders, but no significant difference of different age groups.Home chaos was significantly related to immigrant children's socialization and there is a significant difference in the socialization scores in them with different levels of chaos. The socialization scores of children with low chaos were significantly higher than those with high chaos. The level of home chaos of immigrant children is significantly higher than that of local children;the level of kindergarten chaos of immigrant children is higher than that of local children;the total score of socialization of immigrant children is significantly lower than that of local children;the scores of behavior disorders of immigrant children are significantly higher than that of local children. There is a significant difference in socialization scores between immigrant and local children with different levels of chaos. The socialization scores of immigrant and local children with low level of chaos were significantly higher than those with higher levels, however, there is no significant difference in the total score of behavior disorders of children with different levels of chaos. The results show that home and kindergarten chaos are important factors affecting the socialization and behavior disorders of immigrant children.Compared with local children, immigrant children have higher levels of home and kindergarten chaos, lower socialization levels and more behavior disorders.Relevant measures should be taken to reduce home and kindergarten chaos to promote the socialization of children and to reduce behavior disorders.
