In the elementary education period, the language discipline as a main subject ofstudents, has attracted more and more teachers and students’ attention. Among them,the novel teaching is an important link in the teaching of Chinese, so how to improvethe quality of teaching high school language is an important topic in the currentChinese teaching.Narratology of the novel provides a new research method for the analysis of thenovel narrative research. This paper will apply the theory of narratology to Chineseteaching in senior high school, in order to enable students to better grasp the story inthe novel and narrative way, improve students’ analysis ability of reading.This paper discusses the importance of teaching novels in Chinese teaching,summarizes the development status of teaching Chinese novels on, through thequestionnaire survey method, to understand the novel teaching at the same time thecontinuous development of the also exist in the teaching mode, teaching and thetheory of rigid off day, students’ initiative is not high and the design of teachingmaterials is not reasonable, how to solve the problems existing in the novel teachingproblems in the current Chinese teaching is now facing, is also one of the key contentsof this paper. Based on the narrative theory and detailed explanation, embody thecombination of Chinese teaching contents analysis of novels in the narrative theory inthe middle school Chinese Texts in the novels, narrative form and structure, and theuse of specific examples to analyze the text narrative mode in order to offer new ideasfor future research and practice of the teaching of high school Chinese novels.
