Teaching material is materialized product of course, it is reification of course, having anextremely important function.The current development of teaching materials in China is stillvery low. Therefore analyze the outstanding foreign textbooks. Assimilating valuableexperience can help our chemistry textbook preparation. In this thesis take the content of thematerial structure and the nature for example use the literature and analysis and other researchmethods comparing the PEP high school chemistry textbook elective3with the Americanmainstream science textbook 《Chemistry》(Ninth Edition), it was written by RaymondChang, the famous American Mc Graw-Hill company Published in2007, in order to provideour chemistry textbook written revelation. The paper consists of four parts:The first part is the introduction, mainly elaborate the background of the topics, theproblem, current research, the significance of the study and research methods. The secondpart is to clarify that the content of the introduction of the material structure and the nature inthe curriculum standards in China and the United States. The third part is mainly from theselection and organization as well as the presentation of the content of the structure of thematerial structure and the nature, a comparative analysis of the content of the materialstructure and the nature in the two sets of high school textbooks in China and the UnitedStates, identify similarities and differences. It is the focus of this dissertation. The fourth partis the conclusion of the paper. Through comparing the front two sets of high school textbooks.Summing up the written features of two sets of textbooks, providing some suggestions on ourchemistry teaching.
