In recent years, With the rapid development of society, the progress of human civilization,the quality of people’s are in a gradual increase. Especially with the popularization anddevelopment of computer technology, multimedia technology and networking, also putforward new requirements and objectives for education and teaching. With the acceleration ofthe process and network of education and education combined, the traditional teaching modeand teaching philosophy can not adapt and meet the modern teaching requirements. Teachersof various disciplines also put forward higher requirements for us. In order to adapt tomodern educational concepts and process of education information, necessary for teachersfrom the various aspects of teaching philosophy, teaching ideas, teaching methods, teachingcontent should have a new change and development. At the same time, in order to meet theeducational process to speed up, new requirements for the literacy of the teachers are puttingforward. Especially for teachers of information literacy has higher requirements.Teachers of information literacy are an important part of the teachers’ literacy. Teachersof information literacy have an important significance for improving the overall quality ofteachers. Teachers of information literacy are increasingly the public’s attention. Especially inthe information literacy of junior high school, English teachers increasingly become the focusof attention. Because on the English discipline, teaching of English and informationtechnology, combined with more frequent and widespread. Whether listening, speaking,reading or writing teaching can play a role in strengthening the teaching effect of multimediatools auxiliary. So for the junior high school English teachers, the improvement ofinformation literacy has an indispensable role on the effect of teachers’. So, analyze andexplore the status of information literacy of junior high school English teacher, positivethinking and to explore ways to improve their English teacher information literacy hasbecome a major topic of the education sector is imperative, but also has extraordinarysignificance.Above background, firstly access to a lot of literature on teachers ’information literacybased on the system, a comprehensive analysis of the meaning of the teachers’ informationliteracy and analysis of the structure of teachers’ information literacy. Then use thequestionnaire analysis, interviews and other research methods, Chao yang City, LiaoningProvince, a few junior high school English teachers Information Literacy in the investigationand analysis. To arrive at the Chao yang City junior high school English teachers’ informationliteracy status and existing problems, and appropriate and feasible countermeasures andfuture development paths according to the status. In this paper,the analysis of the questionnaire, interviews, statistical analysis, etc. I tried toadvice and strategies to improve the junior high school English teachers in informationliteracy through research and analysis on the subject, providing a viable, and thus improve theoverall quality of the junior high school English teacher. English teachers teachingeffectiveness and teaching efficiency, and promote the progress and development ofeducation and teaching in China.
