The supplementary exercise system is the most important part in addition to theselected text in language teaching materials, but also reflects the value of languageteaching materials and characteristics important one. Text exercises both teachersstudy materials, design teaching goals with students to consolidate the knowledge toimprove their language literacy ladder also knowledge into the ability of a bridge.Provide direction for teachers teaching and students learning the language, and theformation of a complete scientific system, rather than the vassal of the selectedarticles.However, through the investigation found that the utilization rate of the systemof exercises in language teaching is not high, even considered dispensable. It is worthmentioning that the language teacher teaching hardly deal with the after-schoolexercises, students turn a blind eye to its more. Shows that language teachingmaterials and exercises is not taken seriously enough. The reason, one textbookexercises system design itself there are some problems, the teachers do not quiteunderstand, so neglect an overview of the characteristics and use of the system ofexercises.In view of this, this paper new basic education curriculum reform as a startingpoint, take a realistic attitude towards the wider application than the currentrepresentative PEP high school language textbook exercises compulsory system wascomprehensive and in-depth research. This article mainly from four aspects PEP highschool language textbook exercises compulsory system to start on. The first part ofthe main highlights exercises system status and role, and related concepts are defined.The second part of the high school language textbook combing exercises historicaldevelopment of the system and concluded that the overall trend. The third part of theexisting PEP compulsory high school language textbook exercises in detail the type ofsystem statistics, and then on the basis of analysis of its features and shortcomings.The fourth part of the design and use of two from the standpoint of the existing PEPfor high school language textbook exercises compulsory deficiencies exist in thesystem put forward corresponding recommendations in order for the PEP editor ofcompulsory teaching of high school language textbook to further improve the preparation of quality teaching kit for revision and republication try to do somethingmeaningful to help teachers make better language teaching and promoting students tobetter develop.
