Positive emotion is also told as positive valence emotion.Many researchers have given the specific descriptions or definitions to the positive emotion, such as Fredrickson think that "positive emotion is a temporary pleasure, the unique instant reaction to the meaningful things personally." Russell has proposed "positive emotion is the kind of good feeling when things are going well and you want to smile." Contact between people through a certain psychological and behavioral interaction process, this process is interpersonal. The exchanges on the basis of the formation of the psychological relationship between people are called interpersonal relationships. Interpersonal relationships, generalized means the relationship between people, including all aspects of the relationship between everyone in the society, as well as all things between people relationships; narrowly means through exchanges and interactions between people and formation of direct psychological relations (Jiang Kejiu,2004).The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between positive emotions, interpersonal relationships and mental health, and if positive emotion and interpersonal intervention can improve the level of mental health.The objectives are conducted in two researches. Research1:51seventh grade-students and54eighth-grade students were administrated the Emotional Elasticity questionnaire and Mental Health diagnostic test.Through the intervention of emotion regulation ability, to examine the relationship between positive emotions and the level of mental health; Research2:The same subjects as research1were administrated the interpersonal Competence Questionnaire and Mental Health diagnostic test.Through the intervention of interpersonal skills to explore the interpersonal relationship significantly correlated to the level of mental health.Through the analysis and discussion of the results of this study we got the following conclusions:(l)There is a significant correlation between positive emotion and mental health;(2) Interpersonal skills and mental health were significantly associated;(3) Intervention can significantly improve emotion regulation ability and interpersonal ability;(4)The interventions of the students’positive emotions and interpersonal relationships had a significant effect to improve their mental health.
