Study On The College Students’ Religious Beliefs In The Perspective Of Ideological And Political Education

With the development of China’s rapid economic and people’s living standards, people’s ideas shift gradually from closed to open since reform and opening up. There were "religious warming" phenomenon accompanying with the believers increasing in the community which brings inevitable influence on college students. Concerning about the situation of college students’religious beliefs both understand the effectiveness of ideological and political education in colleges and universities and is the important content of being concerned about the country’s future development.In the view of religious belief state of the contemporary university students who mainly select Buddhism and Christianity as believing religions. As a higher group of knowledge, culture and overall quality, college students’religious beliefs have characteristics of religious means diversity, religious motives utilitarian and religious choices subjective. There are three areas negative impact in the ideological and political education of college students result in religious belief:the first is affecting the effectiveness of ideological and political education in colleges and universities, the second is hindering the formation of college students’ scientific view of the world, and the third is detrimental to students’normal life and learning.On college students’religious beliefs, there are work in four areas in enhance ideological and political education in colleges and universities.First of all, to work on education in teaching through the introduction of relative course to guide students and form right and objective vision of religious; culturing professional teachers to help students build up scientific outlook on religion; holding some relative activities to deepen students’ scientific understanding of the religious view. Secondly, to strengthen the management of religious affairs through strengthening students’ability to jointly resist religious infiltration and illegal religious activities under in upholding the principle of the separation of education and religion.Thirdly, to work on strengthening ideals and beliefs through developing the education of socialist core value system, resolutely carrying out the religious policies of the party and the state, on the premise of respecting and protecting freedom of religious belief, reinforcing students to the greater confidence in the country and the.socialism with Chinese characteristics, adapting to promote religion and socialism with Chinese characteristics.Finally, much work should be done on strengthening the function of psychological education. On the basis of perfecting the system of college students’ psychological education of college students to extend students’psychological education, strengthen psychological counselling to the believers and the edge and improve students’humanistic qualities and adaptability.
