Nowadays the research object of sociology comes out more than before, research field becomes broad, and sociological research and findings has biggerinfluence, while focusing on engineering is just on the upgrade. Society andgovernment do always assess the impact of economy and environment, but theyneglect social impact. Few research on engineering focus on geographical ones, however they almost stay in the theoretical study stage, but scarcely put theirindicator system into practice. At the same time, there is nearly no research onnon-geographical engineering, aiming at solving which, this thesis conducts thesestudy as follow.First, construct an appropriate indicator system for non-geographicalengineering assessment by research on related study. Collect637valid sample bysnowball and encounter method to assess the social impact of Chang E lunarexploration project. Secondly, analyzed by factor analysis method, the social impactof Chang E lunar exploration project was deducted into four dimension, which aremilitary impact, political impact, social psychological impact and educationalimpact, then a whole impact score consist of four dimension of impact wasproposed. Thirdly, analyzing Chang E’s social impact alone without research onrelationships between different groups of people of natural attributes and socialattributes is not enough to reveal the truth behind. So the analyze should be taken insocial context. Finally, this thesis conclude that: multi-dimensional effects fordifferent natural attributes of people, groups, as age, sexuality; social attributes ofpeople, groups, such as education background, profession, politics status affectdifferently. While multi-dimensional effects have no relation with income. Andthere are several issues to be concerned.
