Status And Efficiency Of Investment In Yunnan Higher Vocational Education

Since China’s reform and opening up, relying on the overall background of thedevelopment of higher vocational education, Yunnan provincial party committee andprovincial government make the higher vocational education in Yunnan province getsteady development and rise in the school size, school conditions, professionalstructure, faculty construction and education on the quality and strength during the"11th five-year plan" period of reform and development, higher vocational educationhas also shouldered the important role of cultivating high-quality skilled talents forYunnan province. Yunnan province is located in the southwest border, as amulti-ethnic populated provinces, to maintain the frontier peace, promote nationalunity and protect the ecological environment, and AIDS in drug control and otherimportant responsibilities, so Yunnan’s economic development is relatively backward.Compared with the developed areas, higher vocational education development stillshows many shortcomings, especially in the area of fund input. Input problem hasincreasingly became the important factors that affect higher vocational educationdevelopment in Yunnan province. Higher vocational education input research thusbecomes a hot focus, and has a very important practical significance on breakingthrough the predicament of higher vocational education in Yunnan province. Thisarticle starts with the higher vocational education financial input, uses literaturereview, comparative analysis and empirical analysis of statistics method, analyzes theadequacy and efficiency of input in Yunnan’s higher vocational education, andanalyzes the present problems and puts forward the corresponding rationalizationproposal.This study is divided into six chapters altogether. The introduction introduces theresearch background and significance, relevant literature review, technical route andresearch methods, etc. The second chapter analyzes the related the theoretical basisfor the development of higher vocational education, expounds the meaning of publicproducts, the influence of education and human capital on economic growth andeducation cost sharing theory. The third and the fourth chapter reference about a largenumber of data on the current development of higher vocational education in Yunnanprovince and the finance input, have carried on the intuitive analysis through induction, and the data line chart, pie chart, bar chart, histogram and so on, and useDEA data envelopment analysis (DEA) method to carry on the quantitative and thespecific calculation of the using efficiency of financial input to higher vocationaleducation in Yunnan province, higher vocational education in Yunnan province isdrawn into the obvious shortage, limited funds input efficiency is low. Finally, chapter5and chapter6further on analysis of the provincial higher vocational education’sexisting problems and combining with the current actual situation to propose severalsuggestions to higher vocational education in Yunnan.
