Cultural differences in the development of social work seems to be little concerned,but it is increasingly an important aspect that can not be ignored in the universal processof social work. With the development of social work in our country, culture has becomea problem that can not be ignored in the study and practice of social work. This paperstudy some of the basic issues of our ethnic social work under the cross-culturalperspective, including the concept of ethnic social work, cultural-competence,thechallenges that brought by the cultural differences,and put forward the "ACT" practicaloperation mode of Chinese ethnic social work.Introductory section first introduces the research background, the practical andtheoretical significance of the research, followed by the combing and synthesis of thethe research results of the ethnic social work, and finally introduce the study of thetheory and research methods.The first chapter of this paper tell us the research view and explore the concept ofthe social work under the cross-cultural perspectiveThe second chapter analyze the cultural differences bring the difficulties andobstacles for the ethnic social work from the three aspects of verbal communication,non-verbal communication and values. I use vivid examples to explain why ethnicsocial workers should pay attention to cultural differences in practice.The third chapter analyze the cultural-competence of ethnic social workers,including the concept, the training path and the requirements of cultural-competency.The fourth chapter I put forward a unique "ACT" practical mode based on myinvestigations and experiences and study four practical cases.The conclusion part is the reflection and summary of the study, I point some ideas,put forward the characteristics and shortcomings, and discuss the future of our country’sethnic social work.
