The Study Of Pre-school Children’s Participation In Hobby Classes In The Kindergarten A Of Lanzhou City

Preschool children’s participation to hobby classes is already a common phenomenon in today’s society. The hobby classes is a kind of training class held by some educational institutions that aim at cultivating and improving interests of children (except the education in kindergarten). This research tries to discuss the current situation of preschool children attending to hobby classes by interview and questionnaire survey, studies from views of children, discusses the best method of preschool children education.This research mainly uses interview and questionnaire to survey. The targets of interview are5to6years old preschool children, random select by gender and age, interviewed40children, mainly discussed the perspective of children attending hobby classes. Questionnaire survey using parents questionnaire, handing out160questionnaires in a public kindergarten in Lanzhou, go a step further to understand parents’view of children attending hobby classes, comparing the results of interview and writing the paper.Through the interview survey, the results show that:among40children there are only5children do not have the classes; generally speaking, children dislike attending the classes; parents eager educational expectation give pre-school children a lot of pressure; part of children are tired of learning; the time of class arrangement is unreasonable; the classes are still interested parents, children almost have no rights to choose; the content of classes have a change in form but not in content, teaching primary school subjects; the main purpose of parents chose classes for children is to learn knowledge and plan for entrance primary school, English class is the most popular class of parents to choose, almost every children choose this class; when the education in kindergarten can not meet the needs of parents, they will choose classes out of kindergarten to make up; most of parents do believe that participate into hobby classes is the path of children’s growth, children are not satisfied with the teaching style and arrangement in kindergarten, according to the interview we can draw a picture about what kind of the education children really want.Comparing the results between interview and questionnaire, we can draw a conclusion that the reasons why the classes enduring perennial, the main reason is lack of high quality education resource; parents blindly follow others made the classes despite repeated prohibitions; and there are something wrong with views on children education. Pedagogical implications is that: firstly, we should comprehend children, respect children, follow the law of somatopsychic development of children, no matter what kind of education we should focus on children; secondly we should change the view of education, parents should treat the preschool education reasonable; last but not least we should improve the quality of education.
